Role Overview

Sperry Marine is a leading supplier of navigation, communication, information, and automation systems for commercial marine and naval markets.  Headquartered in the United Kingdom, we have an extensive international presence across Europe, the Americas and Asia, employing almost 400 people across ten countries.

The role of the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for daily logistics operations - efficiently supervise and coordinate warehousing, product returns, shipping, work orders and give guidance to all relevant staff in the pursuance of their duties. Ensuring fast and efficient flow of goods throughout.

You will be responsible for the accurate recording of the company’s stock information, transactions and ensuring management information is adequately maintained for the supervision of data processing activities. You will liaise with adjacent departments to support own and third party initiatives.

This role requires a high level of personal involvement and understanding of the relevant operation procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting Logistics policies locally and ensures that staff have clear understanding of those
  • Inbound, storage and outbound.
  • Regular stock checks
  • Monitors inventory levels
  • Manage daily key performance indicators
  • Manage rush requests
  • Provide operational support to service as and when required
  • Partakes in general system development / improvement activities
  • To be aware of and comply with Company and local statutory requirements, regarding environment, health, safety, fire and Standards of Conduct.
  • Provide Audit support
  • To carry out any other reasonable management request

About You

  • Secondary Technical education
  • Sound knowledge of inventory control, administration procedures and practices as well as accounts procedures
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes
  • Understanding of commercial business practices and principles
  • Willingness to participate in Standby Service
  • MS Office - Word, Excel
  • Ability to work well with your team and independently.
  • Good understanding of numbers and dimensions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to clearly convey your message.
