Based at our office in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands, the MSE will install, commission and repair electronic equipment on board commercial vessels. The incumbent will test, adjust, and troubleshoot components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, antennas and other related marine hardware. They will also load, update, and modify software. Successful applicants will use their knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems. They will make intelligent use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately achieve assignments. They will provide technical training to customers on system installation, operation and maintenance.


About You:

The successful candidate will compose detailed service reports. The MSE must have a commitment to customer satisfaction; promoting the Company’s products and services through customer relationships, professional behaviour and their appearance. They will provide technical guidance and advice to internal staff to resolve technical problems.

  • To perform service in the Netherlands, Belgium and worldwide.
  • To provide cross-departmental support to service control, engineering and application.
  • To take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of other persons around you
  • As required, provide global technical support to customers and/or other engineers
  • To be aware of and comply with company standards of conduct and all relevant statutory requirements
  • To create and communicate process for any duty for which job holder is ensuring involvement from all
  • To be aware of and comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements
  • To carry out any other reasonable management request
  • Minimum Apprenticeship as Electronics Technician or equivalent
  • Experience of practical trouble-shooting on complex electronic equipment and systems
  • PC configuration experience with networking and IT skill.
  • Ability to work at height or in confined spaces
  • Ability for worldwide traveling, take over weekend-duty and overtime, often at short notice
  • Ability to work effectively on their own or as part of a team
  • A flexible and motivated work ethic
  • Ability to take the lead on projects and installations including planning and costing
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Driving Licence
