Join Our Vibrant & Growing Engineering Team

Want to join an international and growing development team that has the highest standards of technical and product design expertise, coupled with a focus on developing staff, recognising and celebrating success and a great working environment?

The Sperry Marine Engineering Team based in New Malden in the UK and Hamburg in Germany, have responsibility for the development and maintenance of Sperry Marine’s wide product portfolio, and ambitious development roadmap.

We are a truly multidisciplinary team, with engineers from electronics, software, mechanical, system engineering and system test backgrounds all working in integrated teams to develop best in class products and solutions. 

To support our ambitious roadmap and growth plans we are actively increasing the size our teams, creating the opportunity for a skilled Technical Publications Engineer to join us!

We are looking for a hands-on Software or Systems Engineer working across a number of complex and highly technical manuals liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
 
Key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Liaison between Sperry Subject Matter Experts, Project Management, Product Line Management and External Partners.
  • Updating our set or Technical Publications for regular releases
  • Working on the Information Design project to improve publications’ quality
  • Contributing to the Manuals for new products.
 
 

Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Experience as System or Software Engineer
  • Excellent document writing skills
  • Experience with document writing software suites
  • Experience with Agile framework
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira or equivalent (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Madcap Flare, Adobe Robohelp and FrameMaker (desirable)

Soft Skills

  • Prioritize - ability to prioritise multiple requests and inputs   
  • Multitasking - ability to deal with many separately defined tasks from multiple sources
  • Flexibility - able to deal with changing deadlines and changing scopes   
Personal Characteristics
  • Excited by working for a Global Company with a great reputation in the marine industry
