Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the managing a cross-functional team to deliver radar, chart, service and navigation products as part of the Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine Commercial Product Line. The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the project including scheduling, budget, risk analysis and mitigation, supply chain, remote subcontractors and reporting project status to senior staff.
The role can be based either at our Hamburg (DE) or Vlaardingen (NL) office.
 
Responsibilities
  • Planning of individual product configurations up to integrated bridge systems
  • Responsibility for the assigned IBS project (Integrated Bridge Navigation System), from the order to the first year of operation
  • Creation and review of technical drawings and documentation
  • Ensuring on-time delivery including sending shipping documents to the customer
  • Supporting the sales team with technical solutions in compliance with all relevant regulations of the classification societies, flag states, ISO & IEC standards
  • Clarification of technical inquiries through to system design
  • Cross-departmental cooperation with external and internal customers such as product management, development, purchasing, sales and service
Skills & Experience
  • Successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable training
  • Knowledge of project management and digital solutions in the area of network environment and computer application
  • Structured and solution-oriented way of working, which is characterized by process thinking
  • Fluency in English to communicate with international clients and teams
  • Willingness to make occasional business trips
  • Initial knowledge of the maritime environment (navigation equipment and corresponding regulations) is an advantage
