Role Overview

In this role you'll set up and manage the successful manufacture of production control systems for a new submarine programme. This includes:

  • Putting in place and own the processes and procedures to enable successful production.
  • Provide technical liaison between NGSM design/quality teams and production suppliers.
  • Review designs for manufacturability.
  • Control change management in the event of customer driven or other design changes
  • Support preparation and execution of Factory Acceptance Test procedures.
  • Ability to diagnose problems and make key stop/go decisions.
  • Provide cost and schedule estimates and impact assessments.
  • Generate progress reports and key performance indicators.
  • Produce documentation in accordance with company/customer procedures
  • Be aware of and comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements

Skills & Experience
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings for complex hardware production using strong technical writing ability
- Experience of Manufacturing and quality processes, estimating and programme planning techniques for Production planning.
Supplier management experience
