Role Overview

This is a great opportunity for a junior level person wishing to either start their career or build on their existing experience. You'll be joining our multimillion pound, multiyear programme which consists of a complex control system on a major UK marine platform with both hardware and software content in both development and service.

You'll be a key member of the software team with responsibility for taking the existing development and test process and implementing automated code inspection and testing to maximise the throughput of the test team for systems up to Safety Integrity Level 2, as well as implementing code in C, C++ or C# to fill gaps in the PLC and SCADA software’s capabilities.

 
Skills & Experience
  • Ideally experienced in creating Production of technical documentation and developing C#/C++ software in a control systems environment
  • Have knowledge of designing and integration of PLC control systems, Fieldbus configuration and implementation
  • Capable of creating Specification and analysis of COTS equipment, designing and integration of SCADA systems
  • Some experience of Siemens TIA Portal & Rockwell Studio5000.
  • Have an understanding of IEC 61131
