Role Overview

NGSM are a supplier of Platform Management Systems for the Royal Navy's new Submarine fleet. Opportunities have arisen in the Mission Assurance Department overseeing production activities to ensure we achieve the highest possible build quality in our systems.

We are looking for Programme Quality Engineers (Inspections) to work on the latest submarine control systems. Bringing experience and skills to the team and assessing the product by means of auditing and a planned inspection regime, the PQE (Inspections) will work closely with the Programme Delivery Teams to ensure that the product is safe, and built to the highest possible quality standards. 

Please note for this particular role, all candidates must be eligible for SC - UK EYES ONLY clearance and therefore be a sole British National passport holder.
Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate would have significant experience of quality assurance and carrying out inspections on complex systems. Domain experience from the defence sector and/or the marine sector would be helpful.

The candidate will be comfortable auditing and inspecting complex systems, contributing to planning and ensuring all aspects of production documentation are completed to our customer's exacting standards.

All of our roles require successful candidates to undergo and maintain a Baseline Personnel Security Standard and/or United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) to obtain a Security Check (SC) without restrictions. Please note that in the event that the required clearance cannot be obtained you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
