Role Overview
We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly Finance team at our Head Office in New Malden, Surrey. The successful candidate will support the Financial Controller Europe and regional Branch Accountants to ensure that the financial accounts of the company are accurate and fully reconciled and that reporting deadlines are met. This is a temporary position to provide support during the maternity leave of the UK Branch Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistance with month end reporting
Processing of journals in the ERP system
Review of UK employee expense claims for correctness against policy
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Intercompany Netting payments and receipts
Manual Sales Invoices for recharge of costs
Undertake any other ad hoc duties to support the Finance Department
To be aware of and comply with company standards of conduct and all relevant statutory requirments
Skills & Experience
 Some experience working within a finance team
 Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills
 Excellent communication and organisational skills
 Good numeracy skills
 Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure
 Ability to use own initiative
 AAT qualified/book keeper qualification or working towards this
 Ability to work well within a small team
 Experience in the use of ERP software
